Top tips for oral health

After brushing, spit out your toothpaste and leave the residue in your mouth. This will help strengthen your teeth, no rinsing!

Brushing effectively only cleans 70% of your teeth, cavities a prone to developing in between teeth. Use floss or internal brushes daily.

It's important not to brush your teeth straight after eating, this can weaken them in the long run. Try and wait at least 15 minutes.

It does not require force when brushing, ask your hygienist or dentist for the right technique.

Water is the best thing to drink throughout the day.

When buying toothpaste - always ensure it has fluoride in, this is the ingredient that prevents cavities.

The most important time to brush is before bed, and one other time during the day.

Testimonials

"I have been a patient of Dr Kurichan’s for 5 years and have always found him to be professional and friendly with an excellent chair side manner. All of the staff at New Street are welcoming with a cheerful disposition which is brilliant for a nervous patient such as myself."

"I have always found New Street to be very accommodating and welcoming. My little boy and I share an appointment which is brilliant as it allows for acclimatisation from a young age."
